Spending the day at the Queen’s castle!
Hi there, it’s Liza checking in from a wonderful day at Windsor Castle! Early this morning, we were whisked away on the motor coaches and traveled out to the delights of the country to the Royal town of Windsor. At the heart of the town is the castle which has, for over 900 years, been residence and fortress for the British monarch. Today all of the cheerleaders, dancers, and families were able to explore the magnificent grounds and Windsor Castle, the palace where the Queen calls home. Although Queen Elizabeth and her family was not there to greet us, we did have a fun (but very chilly) day exploring the town. Some of the highlights included the St. George’s Chapel, Queen Mary’s Doll House, the State Apartments, and of course…shopping! Windsor is home to one of a kind boutiques and local London clothing shops. After exploring this quaint little town, we were even able to have a “spot of tea” the British way!
After returning to London, all of the cheerleaders and dancers switched gears from tourists to performers because it was time for the parade rehearsals! The girls practiced their parade dances and sidelines while our boys got some hands-on experience stunting with UCA, NCA, and USA staff. I don’t want to give away any surprises, but let’s just say that these routines are going to be incredible! We cannot wait for New Year’s Day and to show London what the All-Americans are all about.
Our next day of adventures will be our last full day exploring London and we will have a celebration to ring in 2017! Only two more days till New Years Day!
